U.S. citizens who require emergency assistance may call the U.S. Embassy in Juba during business hours at +211 (0)912 105 188. For after hours emergencies, please call the Embassy duty officer at +211 (0)912 105 107. Please note that the Embassy duty officer should be contacted only in the case of true emergencies in which the safety of a U.S. citizen is under threat. This includes the death or arrest of a U.S. citizen as well as medical emergencies. U.S. citizens who require emergency assistance and come to the Embassy during business hours will be assisted by the consular staff without an appointment.
