Special Notice - Limited consular services provided at U.S. Embassy Juba
The U.S. Embassy in Juba currently provides
limited services to U.S. citizens living or traveling in South Sudan,
including passport renewal, the provision of emergency passports, and
notary services. The embassy does not adjudicate Consular Reports of
Birth Abroad (CRBA). Other routine consular services are available
through the U.S. embassies in neighboring countries, such as in Kampala,
Uganda, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, and Nairobi, Kenya.
U.S. citizens who require emergency assistance may call the U.S. Embassy in Juba during business hours at +211-912-10-5188 or email ACSJuba@state.gov.
In the event of a life or death emergency involving a U.S. citizen after business hours or on holidays, please contact the embassy duty officer at +211-912-10-5107.
To Register with the Embassy
U.S. citizens living or traveling in South Sudan should register their presence in South Sudan through the Department of State's on-line travel registration website. Registration helps the embassy contact you in an emergency and you will be included on the embassy's distribution email list.
